Role Description:
• Design, develop, and deliver cybersecurity and information technology training programs for staff across the organization.
• Translate the NICE Framework and NIST SP 800-181 into defined roles, and identify the knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSAs) required for success in those roles.
• Develop and maintain cybersecurity and IT training policies, curricula, and procedures, updating them as threats and requirements evolve.
• Build and update Computer-Based Training (CBT) courses on cybersecurity and IT topics, blending externally sourced content with custom-developed material.
• Partner with internal Learning Management System (LMS) staff to deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot training content and course assignments.
• Create and distribute cybersecurity and IT awareness newsletters to keep staff informed of emerging threats and best practices.
• Track and report staff training completion, certification status, and compliance metrics.
• Assess training effectiveness and recommend improvements based on staff performance, feedback, and evolving cybersecurity risks.
Required Qualifications & Education:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Cybersecurity, or Information Technology from a U.S. accredited college, university, or institution
• 5+ years of experience working with educating staff on cybersecurity and information technology topics
• Experience translating the NICE Framework and NIST SP 800-181 into successfully defining roles and actionable knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to be successful in those roles.
• Knowledgeable of developing and updating cybersecurity and information technology training policies, curricula, as well as procedures.
• Experience developing and modifying Computer-Based Training Courses on cybersecurity and information technology topics using a mixture of training content from external providers and creating custom content internally, including working with internal Learning Management System (LMS) Staff
• Capable of developing as well as disseminating cybersecurity and information technology newsletters to internal staff
• Prior experience tracking staff training status (e.g. courses completed, certifications obtained, etc.)
Clearance and Location Requirements:
• Able to be cleared for a Public Trust clearance.
• This position requires to be onsite 3 days per week in Washington, DC.
